Dear Bonner Families,
I hope everyone had a great and
safe summer! We, the Bonner PTA, are so excited for the new school
year. We hope this year will be very rewarding and memorable for all
our Bonner students.
It is that time of year again when we
ask everyone to join the PTA. When you, the family, are involved in
PTA the child who benefits most is your own; you are taking a major step
toward improving your child's school and community, but also your state and
national education and health policies. Here is a fact: PTA is the
largest parent involvement organization in the United States. PTA was
created to better the lives of children, and it continues to flourish
because we never lose sight of that goal.
This year we are promoting two
different fundraisers, in the information packet they will be discussed in
more detail. I wanted to take a moment to highlight the programs that
these funds make possible for the students and their families.
These programs and events such as the
Spring Fling and the Bonner Bon Voyage (from last year) are events that PTA
promotes to encourage family fun and participation. When attending
these events, we strengthen our community and bring into closer relation the
home and the schools so that parents and teachers together can be unified in
our efforts to educate and improve the overall experience of the children's
time spent here at John Bonner Elementary School.
